Braking Excellence: LSP Reflects on 2025 and Moves into 2026 with Clear Direction

2025 took place in a volatile and demanding market environment across the mobility sector. While overall stability remained limited, this landscape also required focus, adaptability and clear technical execution. Throughout the year, LSP continued to move forward with consistency. Our international team applied its expertise with discipline and a strong engineering mindset, enabling tangible progress across technology, production and collaboration. The results achieved in 2025 provide a solid foundation and reinforce our confidence as we enter 2026 with momentum and clear direction.

Motorsport Success: Precision and Reliability in Demanding Conditions

Since 2014, LSP braking systems have demonstrated their performance in the world’s most demanding racing series, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Formula E, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the Dakar Rally, GTX and the World Solar Challenge.

In 2025, this foundation was further strengthened:

  • Return to Formula E: Multiple Gen4 teams selected LSP’s IBSe9 Brake-by-Wire system, reaffirming trust in its precision, reliability and performance.
  • Presence at PMW Expo: At the Professional Motorsport World Expo, LSP showcased its Brake-by-Wire systems and next-generation braking technologies. The presentation “Performance Gain Through Brake-by-Wire” generated strong interest and valuable technical exchange.

Advancing Technology: From Series Production to Research

2025 marked an important step forward in terms of scalability, system maturity and technical alignment:

  • Commissioning of the XBC production line including PPAP, representing LSP’s first high-volume automotive project
  • Continued development of our HIL test bench and simulation tools
  • Definition of a clear product roadmap, aligning development, production and market requirements more closely
  • Website update and new XBC factsheets, improving structured access to technical information
  • Contribution to the Opt4e research project, addressing sustainable mobility and optimized energy systems
  • Participation in the MathWorks SLRT Event, sharing and expanding expertise in model-based development

Together, these steps strengthen LSP’s ability to translate engineering excellence into scalable, series-ready solutions.

Next-Generation Brake-by-Wire Technologies

X-Boost – Brake-by-Wire for Super- & Hypercars

X-Boost sets new benchmarks with a 100 ms lock-up response, 1 g regenerative braking, Formula E–proven precision and fully software-tunable pedal feel. Its compact architecture combines customizable pedal simulation, an in-house pressure supply unit with minimal hysteresis and a multi-layered safety concept. X-Boost is already trusted by renowned hypercar customers.

IBSe9 – Brake-by-Wire Valve Control for Modern Mobility Systems

IBSe9 delivers optimized pressure regulation, faster response times, reduced wear and seamless integration into digital diagnostic and control architectures. It enhances safety and efficiency across multiple mobility applications, including rail.

Together, these developments underline LSP’s ambition to continuously push the boundaries of brake technology across different sectors.

Culture & Collaboration: Enabling Performance Through Diversity

Sustainable progress depends on effective collaboration:

  • The Innovation Lab, opened in 2025, provides a dedicated space for customer workshops, collaborative engineering and creative sessions.
  • With colleagues from 16 nationalities, strengthening intercultural capabilities remains a key priority, particularly in complex and high-pressure project environments. New formats support shared understanding, effective collaboration and clear communication across cultures.
  • As an additional commitment to employee well-being, LSP introduced fully employer-funded additional health insurance.
  • The internally developed book “Cooking for Engineers” remains available.

Looking Ahead: Turning Market Dynamics into Opportunity

Market volatility will continue to shape the mobility sector in 2026. At the same time, these dynamics create opportunities to challenge established assumptions and advance alternative technical and strategic approaches. With clear priorities, disciplined evaluation and iterative development processes, LSP is well positioned to translate complexity into tangible progress.

The achievements of 2025 demonstrate that we can operate effectively in this environment. Building on the commitment and expertise of our international team, we enter 2026 with technical ambition, confidence and a clear sense of direction, ready to build on the momentum gained.

Thank You

Our sincere thanks go to our team, customers and partners for their trust, commitment and collaboration throughout the past year.

Stay fast, brake safely! And let’s continue building on this momentum in 2026.
